Walking round London town (by Louisa H.M.)
Taken with Instagram at Cutty Sark
I’ve been in London this weekend as a sort of belated birthday thing for my brother. It was so nice to be with just my mum and him for the weekend.

Yesterday we wandered round Covent Garden (and saw Zach Braff! No photo unfortunately), then went to Strada in the evening and saw Sweeney Todd which was brilliant. Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton were the perfect partners in crime in the lead roles. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about him in that role but he really did it justice.

After the show we went and stood on a bridge overlooking this view. Every time I stand on this bridge I just want to live in London so badly, I just know that I would be so happy living in such a quirky, cosmopolitan city. So I hope that happens one day.

Today we went to Camden Lock which I’ve never been to before, and it is seriously one of the coolest places ever. It’s just full of such eclectic style and personalities. In fact, it’s pretty much like real-life Tumblr. (I heard there was a meetup there yesterday but I didn’t go. Would’ve been a rave though!) I bought a vest top with the Starbucks logo on it so I might post a picture of that at some point.

So yeah, overall a really good weekend :)
OK so I saw this in Covent Garden. Fo’ real, fo’ serious. It’s so weird because I swear moomins follow me everywhere I go; I see them in the funniest places. So of course when I saw this, I had to go in and see what it was. I was really tempted to buy something but I didn’t think I could justify it as a seventeen-year-old.
Shrek the Musical and Harry Potter

Yesterday my brother Jack and I went to see Shrek the Musical in London (I bought him tickets for his birthday). We got the train to London at about 9am so that we would have time to spend some time in London. We went to M&Ms World to laugh at all of the tacky souvenirs. Then we had lunch in Chinatown and walked around Covent Garden for a bit. Then it was time to go to the show. It was actually much better than I expected it to be! Being the musical geek that I am, I laughed so much at all of the references to other musicals in it! The ensemble, score and costume were amazing. Nigel Lindsay who played Shrek was really good and Amanda Holden was far better than I expected her to be as Fiona. However, I thought Donkey was average. Not bad but he could’ve been so much funnier.

Then today Jack and I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Now I’m really not a superfan. When I see posts on Tumblr saying, “Even though it’s the end, Harry Potter will be with me forever” I just cringe. Seriously, what is so good about it? Yeah, I like it, but why the obsession? I enjoyed the film for the most part but without giving anything away, I thought it ended on a massive anti-climax. And I know they wanted to keep it true to the book but the ending was ridiculous. So there’s my two cents on it, I will probably be wand-slapped to death by superfans now but oh well, it’s my blog!

I think I might have driven past this once, I didn’t even know that Benefit shops existed until then!
I love London almost as much as I love New York.
